Privacy policy

In short

Kode collects no data. The app has no account, no server, no analytics and makes no network calls.

Your codes

Account names and secret keys are stored in the iPhone's Keychain. With iCloud Keychain on, Apple syncs them end-to-end encrypted between your devices. Order and pinned accounts are stored locally in the app. We have no access to any of it.

Retention and deletion

Your accounts stay on your iPhone (and in your iCloud Keychain if sync is on) until you delete them. Delete one account under Edit, or all of them under Settings › Delete all accounts. Note that iOS can keep Keychain data even after the app is deleted, so use “Delete all accounts” first. We have no copy, so there is nothing to ask us to delete.

Camera and photos

The camera is only used to read QR codes, and images you choose are only read on the phone. Nothing is stored or sent.

Face ID

Kode asks iOS to confirm that it's you. Kode never gets access to your face data.

This website

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and secure it. This site has no advertising, analytics or tracking. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Support emails

If you contact support, the information you choose to send is used to answer you. Contact us if you want your correspondence deleted.
